You should make contact as soon as possible to avoid further deterioration. It won’t fix itself, the longer you leave it, the worse it will get and ultimately, cost you more.

You should check and empty your skimmer basket regularly and especially after storms or windy weather. A full skimmer basket puts pressure on the basket and pump. If the basket is not regularly emptied, water flow could be restricted to the extent of damaging your pump.

Usually, although older above ground pools and the odd in-ground vinyl liner pool cannot be converted due to their construction. If you are able to convert to a salt water pool though, it will definitely reduce the cost of chemicals as salt water pools generate their own chlorine.
Dirty or faulty filtration equipment can cause green pools. Calcium build up can reduce chlorine production and damage equipment. Seals need to be regularly lubricated to keep them watertight.
